Davido, Rema, Omah Lay Confirmed for Afro Nation Portugal 2027 as Full Lineup Is Unveiled

Nigerian music stars Davido, Rema and Omah Lay have been announced among the major artistes set to perform at Afro Nation Portugal 2027, as organisers unveil the first wave of the highly anticipated festival lineup.

Afro Nation Portugal 2027 is scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Algarve, Portugal.

Davido and Rema will headline the festival alongside Congolese music superstar Fally Ipupa, while Omah Lay, Victony, Odeal, Shenseea, Valiant, Rayvanny, Bamby and Miimii KDS are among the other artistes announced for the LIT Stage.

The announcement was made on September 23, 2026, as Afro Nation revealed the first phase of its 2027 Portugal lineup. The organisers also confirmed GIMS as a special guest, with more artistes expected to be announced in subsequent lineup releases.

Davido’s return to Afro Nation Portugal will see the Nigerian superstar once again take one of the festival’s biggest stages. The singer has previously appeared at the Portugal edition and remains one of the most prominent Nigerian artistes on the international music scene.

Rema will also return to the festival as one of the Afro Nation Portugal 2027 headliners. The singer previously headlined the Portugal edition in 2024 and has continued to strengthen his international profile through his global Afrobeats success.

Omah Lay is among the other Nigerian artistes confirmed for the festival. The singer will perform alongside Victony, further strengthening Nigeria’s representation at one of the biggest African music festivals in Europe.

The Afro Nation Portugal 2027 lineup will also feature Jamaican dancehall stars Shenseea and Valiant, Tanzanian singer Rayvanny, British Nigerian artiste Odeal, Bamby and Miimii KDS.

GIMS has been announced as a special guest, while South Gidi Experience is expected to take over the LIT Stage afterparty on the final night.

The festival will also maintain its strong focus on amapiano through the Piano People Stage. Amapiano pioneer Kabza De Small and duo TxC are among the artistes announced for the stage, with Dlala Thukzin joining as a special guest. Other names include 031Choppa, 2woBunnies, Benzo, Thatohatsi, Uncool MC, W4DE, Xduppy B2B Al Xapo, Young Stunna and Zee Nxumalo.

The Afrotronic Stage will also return, featuring African electronic music acts and DJs including Caiiro, Djeff, Jamiie, Aniko and JNR SA, with additional performers still expected to be announced.

For fans searching for Afro Nation Portugal 2027 dates, the main festival will run from June 9 to June 11 at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão. An opening party is scheduled for June 8, while a closing party is planned for June 12.

Ticket access is also expected to begin soon. According to the festival announcement, the Afro Nation Portugal 2027 pre sale is scheduled for September 29 at 10 a.m. UK time, while general ticket sales are scheduled to open on September 30 at 10 a.m. UK time.

The 2027 edition continues Nigeria’s strong presence at Afro Nation Portugal, which has featured several of the country’s biggest music stars since the festival launched in Portimão in 2019. Nigerian artistes who have previously performed at the festival include Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Rema, Asake, Tems, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr and Fireboy DML.

With Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa headlining Afro Nation Portugal 2027, alongside Omah Lay, Victony and a growing list of international artistes, the Portugal festival is set to bring Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall and other African sounds together once again.
