“How would I have paid ransom?” – Comedian Sabinus shares testimony after his father got kidnapped

Nigerian comedian and content creator Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known as Sabinus or Mr Funny, has shared testimony after his father got kidnapped.

In a post on his social media page, while giving an update on his father, he expressed gratitude to his creator as he announced that his father had been released. He questioned how he would have been able to pay the ransom if God didn’t provide for them. He stated that people would have sympathised with him by now if God didn’t come through for them.

Making light of the situation, he noted how the kidnappers could be watching his skit and laughing. According to him, that is the irony of life.

In February, Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate Phyna had been left grateful for life after escaping kidnappers’ attack. The reality star revealed that she got to Delta State through public transport with a convoy, and suddenly, one of the cars drifted off the road, which led to a minor accident. She disclosed that right in her presence, four cars were hijacked before hers, and the hostages were taken. Phyna, who was left shocked, wondered if she had just survived a kidnapping scene.

In 2022, celebrity barman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest narrowly escaped death as unknown gunmen attacked his convoy in Anambra and left his car severely damaged. The gunmen had left his car riddled with bullets, and speaking out on the incident, Cubana assured the public that all his people were safe and sound, as he appreciated all who called and sent messages to check up on him.
