Nollywood actress Susan Peters has tackled former president Olusegun Obasanjo as he recalled how he was trapped in his mother’s womb till 12 months by witches and wizards.
He made this known while speaking during a drama presentation titled, ‘Aremu Omo Asabi’ held to mark the 66-year remembrance of Obasanjo’s late mother, Mrs Benice Obasanjo, on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at the main auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.
Obasanjo said his mother carried his pregnancy for 12 months before his birth. He blamed the delay on the influence of some witches and wizards, who gave his mother a tough time before God’s intervention.
The two-term former president expressed regret that his mother never lived to witness his achievements and enjoy the fruits of her hard labour. He disclosed that though his mother gave birth to nine children, only two of them, himself and his sister, survived.
“I was told I was in my mother’s womb for 12 months, and since I was born, I have not been left for once. She had nice children, but two of us survived, myself and my sister.
I was the only one who went to school because my father believed that no matter how educated a female child is, she would end up in the kitchen”.
Taking to a blog’s comment section, Susan Peters tackled the former president for blaming the delayed childbirth on spiritual forces as she noted how her mother also had delayed pregnancy for her. She disclosed that the doctor had to force her mother into labour.
“I don’t think so. I stayed 11 months and two weeks. The doctor had to force the Labor for my mom”.
