“Why should his dad be footing Imade’s bills?” – Daniel Regha slams Davido as he reacts to Dele Momodu’s comment about his custody battle with Sophia Momodu

On Saturday, Dele, in an Instagram post, while addressing the messy issue, disclosed that Sophia has been responsible for their daughter’s welfare, hinting that the allegations made by his niece were facts. He also spoke of how he tried to resolve the issue by involving Davido’s father and uncle, Deji Adeleke and Ademola Adeleke, respectively and how they provided solutions according to their capabilities.

Now reacting to it via his Twitter page, Daniel called out Davido for neglecting his child as he questioned why Davido’s father would be footing his daughter’s bills.

He noted how Sophia rejected the family house gift offered to her and requested Davido pay half of the accommodation while she paid the other half, which he believed was fair. He questioned why Sophia would move into a family apartment when she isn’t legally married to Davido, as that would be awkward for her.

He questioned how things would be like if Sophia finds a new man and decides to bring him home and added that Nigerians should call a spade a spade.

“Davido’s dad reportedly paid for Imade’s outstanding school fees for several sessions & salaries of a nanny, according to Dele Momodu. Isn’t that parental neglect on Davido’s part? Why should his dad be footing Imade’s bills? Again, Sophia rejected the family house gift/offer & requested that Davido should pay half of the accommodation while she would pay the other half, which is fair. There’s no reason to live in Davido’s family apartment since both ain’t legally married; that’s awkward. What if she wants to bring a new man home while they’re around or chooses to pursue a romantic relationship with someone else? Let’s call a spade a spade”.

Recall that following Davido’s relationship with his now wife, Chioma, he and Sophia have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle for their 8-year-old daughter. A few days before his wedding, Davido had filed a suit, seeking joint custody of his daughter, as he claimed Sophia was denying him access to her and extorting money from him. Sophia had responded to the suit, debunking his claims, as she revealed that Davido had abandoned Imade because she refused to have sex with him.
