Early Life

Grace Boy’s story is one of struggle, resilience, and a dream that refused to fade away. His childhood took a difficult turn following the death of his father when he was just eight years old. Left to face life’s challenges alongside his twin sister, he experienced hardship at a young age. According to his account, they engaged in different kinds of small businesses to help put food on the table and continue their education.

Even during those difficult years, music remained a source of joy for Grace Boy. Without the means to enjoy music through CDs like many others, he found his own way to stay connected to the sounds he loved, including buying radio sets to listen to music. What might have seemed like a simple childhood interest gradually became a dream he would carry into adulthood.

Age

Grace Boy was born on April 4, 1989. He celebrates his birthday every year on this date.

His first release represents the beginning of a new chapter in a journey that has taken years of dreaming, patience, and preparation. Although he has yet to perform or minister on stage, Grace Boy says he has been working hard to prepare himself for the opportunities ahead.

As a developing artist, he is focused on introducing his sound to more people, building an audience, and giving his music the opportunity to reach listeners beyond his immediate environment. His journey reflects the experience of an independent artist trying to turn a long-held ambition into a reality while meeting the demands of everyday life.

Rather than allowing those early struggles to define his future, he has continued to work, pursue his ambitions, and hold on to his belief in music. His journey also highlights the reality of many independent artists who must balance their passion with the practical responsibilities of earning a living.

Grace Boy is still working towards the future he envisioned as a child. With his first release out and more room to grow, he hopes to reach a wider audience and build a lasting place for himself in the Nigerian music scene.
