Evang/Activist Hillary Kanife is a native of Ihuonyia (Evee City), Amansiodo Ndi Agu Oghe, in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria.

He was born on July 13, 1982, to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Cletus Kanife, and raised with deep cultural and spiritual values that shaped his purpose-driven life.

Though originally from Eastern Nigeria, he is currently based in Ikeja, Lagos State, where he built his career as a businessman before transitioning fully into gospel music ministry.

He is also an alumnus of the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos (UNILAG), where he successfully completed his part-time program with the 2015/2016 set, overcoming challenges that nearly disrupted his business career.

Music Journey and Breakthrough

Hillary Kanife’s journey into music became fully activated in March 2025 following the birth of his twin daughters, a life-changing event he describes as a divine turning point.

He officially stepped into the gospel music scene when he recorded a song dedicated to them titled “My Double Portion” during their dedication ceremony.

Shortly after, he revisited and recorded another song he had composed years earlier for his wife during their courtship titled “Whenever I See You.”

Within a short period, he recorded multiple songs in the studio, marking a powerful and fast-rising entry into the industry.
